It’s an accepted fact that over 70 percent of the population suffers from acute speech anxiety or stage fright. The remaining 30 percent is largely filled with politicians, drama queens, and used car salesmen. Not to be overlooked in this motley crew is a leader in public speaking strategy and an elite communications professional, Travis Dahle.
Travis has a genuine passion for public speaking. Need an example? He once put together an awful, 50-slide Powerpoint presentation just to prove a point. His company, Dahle Communication Group, excels in the art of training clients to improve in their communications and presentation skills and become more confident and effective presenters.
Since his participation in debate at Milbank High School, Travis has been a formidable presence in the competitive communications world. As a speech teacher and debate coach, Travis has brought State and National success to many students throughout his coaching years and has established himself as a creative and respected leader in the speech community.
Travis is not simply a practitioner in Speech. He is also a student of the mechanisms and psychology of public speaking. To compliment his vast experience, he has completed both a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern State University in Speech Communication and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from South Dakota State University.
In his private time, Travis is an avid runner (one full marathon, four halves) and a connoisseur of baked goods fresh from his backup office at Queen City Bakery. He lives in Sioux Falls, SD, with his wife and two daughters.
